770 w x 575 h paper size,

$1650 framed

Ben Reid is a mixed media artist and printmaker whose interest lies in the fragile relationship that New Zealanders have with the natural environment.  Reid’s recent prints focus on vulnerable native plants and animals whose existence has been threatened by disease, loss of habitat and the introduction of exotic predators.

Reid studied at Christchurch Polytechnic School of Art, graduating in 2005. He has since worked as assistant to master printmaker Marian Maguire at PaperGraphica and has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand since 2005.
