Mantarraya is an occasional table inspired by the motion of a manta ray. The body, made out of saligna, opens like a pair of wings gliding through water. Its curves meet in a sculptural central spine, giving the piece direction and balance.
From that central body, the maple legs emerge through with subtle joinery. Each leg is fitted so transition feels natural. The bends in the maple lift the body upward, making the piece flow through the glass top that rests above, letting the structure and joinery remain visible from every angle.
Even though it’s a small table, Mantaraya carries the calm, floating presence of its name. It’s an observation in movement, balance, and the way wood can be shaped and bent into something that feels both still and in motion at the same time.
