Kevin Black
Kevin Black is a Picton-based potter whose work explores the expressive potential of glaze and form. Working across functional ware and small vessels, he experiments with surface, layering colour, texture, and movement to create pieces that are both tactile and visually dynamic.
From crackled, stone-like finishes to fluid, painterly markings, each work carries a sense of spontaneity and variation reflecting a hands-on making process, giving his ceramics a grounded, individual character.
As a studio potter, I create functional ware elevated by dynamic forms and intricate decoration, blending utility with artistry.
