Dii Moffatt
Dii Moffatt is a Nelson born artist currently living in Brightwater.
She gained her MFA at the Otago Polytechnic School of Fine Arts.
Moffatt's works are abstract or symbolic abstract. Themes of evolution, human belief systems and connection at the macroscopic and microscopic level feature heavily.
She works mainly in acrylic media of various types including self mixed colour change powders and metallic pens, because of the overall effect and partly because AI cannot replicate them.
Influences include Yayoi Kusama's early works and Agnes Martin.
Moffatt has shown and been well received in various galleries and in private collections around Aotearoa NZ.
