Karamea Suite is used to describe (in geological terms) a type of granite rock that contains pink, white and black granules. It is found in both West Nelson and Southwest Fiordland separated by 450 kilometres, with geologists suggesting a sliding separation - over millennia - along the Alpine Fault that runs up the centre of the South Island of New Zealand.
