'From Nelson With Love'

Send us your alternative views of Nelson.  We're interested in the side of Nelson that visitors - and maybe even locals - don't see;  the mundane made interesting, the hidden, the gritty, the strange and the surprising.  Photos can be in the city, the suburbs and the industrial areas.  They may be buildings, nature, people or your community.  We encourage you to explore Wakatū with fresh eyes and send us your best shots.

Terms and conditions

Entry Deadline is 1st July

  • Entries welcomed from any age group
  • You do not need to be a professional photographer, but you can be  
  • Images need to be current so taken in the last 12 months
  • The exhibition will be curated by the gallery and not all images can be selected
  • Nelson does include Stoke and Richmond for the purposes of this exhibition 
  • All entrants will be advised by 11 July if their image(s) will be part of the show. 
  • After this, photographs must be printed by on quality paper to A4 or A3 size for display purposes.  This is the responsibility of the photographer and not the gallery. 
  • Printed photographs to arrive at the gallery by 26 July at the latest.
  • Exhibition opens on 2 August - 30 August
  • There are no awards or prizes but photographs can be for sale
