Georgie Johnson

Georgie Johnson is an Aotearoa/New Zealand artist who utilises drawing techniques in a painterly manner, embracing a minimal colour palette and working directly onto raw canvas.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Art History and English Literature, from Victoria University of Wellington.  

Her paintings have an unsettling quality.  They feature ambiguous figures in unusual configurations which leave the viewer guessing.  Georgie's most recent exhibitions have been a solo at the Ann Parker Gallery in Whanganui and as part of 'Other People's Parties' a joint exhibition at Quiet Dog Gallery.
