Stan Bowski

Stan Bowski constructs 3-dimensional geometric abstract works that are inspired by modernist architecture and man-made structures. One artist that has a major influence on Bowski is the American Abstract Minimalist Donald Judd. Judd described his work as a “simple expression of complex thought" and this sums up how Stan feels about his art practice.   Bowski is drawn to the juxtaposition of elements such as hard and soft, quiet and dynamic, playful and serious.  His work balances a carefully constructed tension using these opposites.   Stan was a finalist in the 2025 Molly Morpeth Canaday Awards with his work 'Inside, Looking Out'.  His most recent exhibition 'The Width of a Room' was with PG Gallery earlier this year.  The work can be viewed here.  Catalogue

Stan's next exhibition will be a joint show with Polly Gilroy and Laszlo Ormay at Quiet Dog in October this year.
