Rebekah Hall
Rebekah Hall is a ceramic artist based in Picton, Aotearoa New Zealand, working from her home studio, The Kauri Tree Studio. Originally from the UK, she moved to New Zealand in 2005 and later completed a Diploma in Ceramic Arts from Otago Polytechnic, with further study at Hungry Creek Art School.
Living close to the coast informs both her pace and process. Her sculptural works often incorporate local materials such as wild clay and river sand, and draw on the quiet structures of the natural world echoing the skeletal forms of plants and animals. More recently, her focus has turned to the human figure, with loosely modelled forms that hold a sense of movement, immediacy, and life.
Her work invites a closer look, encouraging a slow engagement and a shared connection to place.
