Vicki Hawkins

Working from a studio in Waikawa, Vicki Hawkins creates small-batch, wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics. Her focus is on crafting unique, functional pottery that feels comfortable in the hand and performs its purpose beautifully.  Designed to endure, the work brings a quiet sense of joy to everyday living.

Drawing inspiration from the colours and landscapes of the Marlborough Sounds, her work often reflects a personal interpretation of the surrounding environment. The ceramics are finished with distinctive handmade glazes, often layered to create subtle new tones and depth.
